Hundred of youths in Osogbo, Osun State, went on rampage on Tuesday following the death of two boys caused by police operatives.

According to bystanders Starlight Bloggers was informed  that the boys were involved in an accident after a hot chase by some officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

It was gathered that the suspected Yahoo boy, identified as Remi, and three others engaged in an accident while being chased by men of Joint Task Force.

The incident occurred on Oba Adesoji Aderemi  East Bye Pass Road on Tuesday evening.


According to a source, three have been rushed to the hospital why the other died on the spot. Whle another report claimed all the victims in the car died.
Three of them were said to have been rushed to the hospital while two others died on the spot.

The youth made bonfire and brought traffic to a standstill. 

 The protesters also planned to set ablaze a police patrol vehicle belonging to the Joint Task Force at Alekuwodo area of the city but the security agents dispersed them.


Reports revealed that the suspects were trailed by the police from the Osun Mall.

StarlightBloggers gathered that some residents of the state mostly youths have blocked the Osogbo East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo to protest the deaths of the suspected internet fraudsters.

The angry youth who took one of the dead bodies to Abeere Government House are calling on the government to do something about the incessant harassment of young men by SARS and other security agencies.

The angry youths also damaged another JTF vehicle  at Oke-Fia.
